Forti Grill & Bar will also be serving Italian fish specialities accompanied by a complimentary glass of sparkling wine on New Year’s Eve to ring in 2019.
The Godfather Restaurant
This institution of local dining will be presenting special sittings on Christmas Day. They will be offering their regular à la carte menu and serving house specialities such as the sirloin à la Godfather, with creamy Mexican chilli sauce and the fillet Godfather with piccalilli mushroom mustard and white wine sauce. They have a sitting at 11:00 and another at 13:30. A R100 deposit is required to secure a booking.
Orange Restaurant & Wine Cellar
This trusty supper spot will be running a Christmas Day lunch and dinner buffet. Their fare will include classic festive season dishes and local specialities such as peri-peri chicken, pickled fish, leg of lamb, turkey roll, gammon, Christmas Amarula pudding and mixed berry cheesecake. They will also offer diners a complimentary glass of bubbly. The rates for this meal are R440 for adults and R190 for kids under 12.
Hemingway’s Restaurant & Wine Cellar
This stylish and tasteful eatery located at the Leriba Hotel in Centurion is also serving up a Christmas Day lunch buffet. The restaurant undertakes this spread annually, and the menu promises to meet the expectations of previous years. The buffet will be running from 12:00 to 15:00. The cost is R435 per person.
De Kloof Restaurant
The much-loved eatery in Waterkloof is serving a Christmas Eve dinner, but they’re also dishing up a massively delicious Christmas Day lunch menu. Bacon-wrapped beef fillet medallions and brown mushrooms, gemsbok rump and roast pepper stroganoff, patat and kaaing dauphinoise, and Persian turkey roulade. They will also feature a selection of strawberry desserts, and a separate menu for child diners. The price is R595 per person for adults and R195 for kids under 10.
This place located in the Casa Toscana guest house complex in Lynnwood Manor is presenting an appetising spread as their Christmas Day lunch. The menu features dishes such as deep-fried calamari couscous salad or butternut, feta, and shaved biltong salad as starters; pork belly roll or Mediterranean-style leg of lamb as main course; and lemon meringue, berry pavlova or fruit cake trifle as dessert. The meal also includes a free drink. The prices are R435 per person for adults, R150 for kids between four and eight, R50 for kids between two and four, and no charge for children under two years.
Meadow Green Restaurant
The upscale eatery at the African Pride Hotel in the Irene Country Lodge is also treating diners to a traditional Christmas Day lunch. Indulge in slow-roasted, marmalade-glazed gammon along with pineapple-maple syrup or slow-braised beef short rib with root vegetables. For dessert, they have options such as the hazelnut-caramel torte with saffron-poached pears. The cost for this high-level buffet runs at R745 per person.
