Ga Rouge has taken history and made it modern. In the 1800’s, long before Pretoria came to be, the Erasmus family settled on the Brakfontein farm. The “waanhuis”, build in 1814, and the “Voortrekkershuis”, built around 1854 still stand on the property today. The location has been declared as a Historical Heritage site. The “Here Huis”, build in 1895, remained largely unchanged from its original form until 2007 when it was restored to its former splendour. Now open to the public as a restaurant, this historical monument can be admired and enjoyed.
With world renowned hospitality, elegant country charm and extraordinary fused gourmet foods, Ga Rouge is a unique, memorable experience.
