You are the presenter on an Afrikaans Breakfast show on Kyknet, but it happened by accident...how did you land this job?
It was really a miracle! I took a chance and sent them my CV (without any experience in the field), and then I prayed for 3 months non-stop! God gave answer to my prayers and today I am working for Ontbytsake for 3 years already. What a blessing!

You were born in Porterville, do you prefer small town or city life?
In my heart I will always prefer small town, or rather "farm – life" seeing that I grew up on a farm, but I know that God sends us to places where He wants to use us best, and for now that is Pretoria for me, and let me tell you, I am really enjoying it!

You travel all over the country for ONTBYTSAKE, butif you think of Pretoria what comes to mind?
"Lekker" people with smiles on their faces and lots of "braais" – and OF COURSE, the BLUE BULLS ..... he he he

What do you like most and least about being a presenter?

I love my job and am SO privileged to be in this position, but there is a part where people can be very rude and make hurtful comments about you, your looks and the fact that you 'bry' – sometimes I feel like I am not strong enough to take the good and forget about the bad =)

Where do you like to go out in Pretoria?
I like Pretoria and will go to any place as long as my friends are there, because then, a good time is a given!

What are your favorite items in your wardrobe for this winter?
Definitely my jeans and my coats! (I so badly want to buy myself nice boots, but NOTHING fits my leg because I don't have ANY calves!! Ha ha ha! All the boots look like "gumboots"!)

You love food and to entertain friends and family, describe a perfect winter meal?
Lots of good Merlot, soup and hearty food like alfredo pasta or Bobotie with loooooots of atmosphere!!!

You got engaged recently, how did he pop the question?
In the Penthouse of the Regent Hotel in Sandton (a friend who owns the Hotel so generously gave him the suite for the night) The view was amazing and because we could never ever afford even to see the inside of a Hotel like that, it was magical! I am so privileged!

Do you read, and if so is there a book that changed your life?
I love to read, and books like "Redeeming Love" by Francine Rivers and "A thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini were books that made me re-think my life!

What are the most important things in life to you?
My family, friends, honesty, loyalty and God.

Do you think it will be the end of the world this year?
Flip, I hope not, I still have a thousand things to do, but hey, that's why we must live like every day is the last day!

What will you take with you to afterlife?
Nothing, I have never heard of a funeral carriage with a "Venter-waentjie"! :D
