You were raised in Pretoria, in which Suburb? I grew up in Waverley. You went to the Arts School Pro Arte Alphen Park, would you recommend this school to young artis I matriculated in 2005, so I don't know how the school might have changed in the past few years, but I would recommend it for young artists! What production are you currently working on? I'm currently shooting at 7de Laan. Did you ever have a bad hair, wardrobe or make-up experience on set or on a shoot? Not really. The worst so far has been a swimwear shoot in winter and in a freezing pool!

With Father's Day right behind us tell us about your father (Pierre van Pletzen, well-known actor) and his character OUBAAS in 7de Laan?
Oubaas is very funny! And he is not at all like my dad! My dad has a very good sense of humour, but his personality doesn't resemble Oubaas at all.

As a girl did you think you would one day follow in his footsteps?
I never really planned to follow in his footsteps, it just sort of happened. My whole family is in the entertainment industry, and I've been performing from a young age.

Did you spend Father's Day with him and did you give him a present?
Unfortunately I didn't see him on Father's Day, but I did give him a call. And I haven't given him a present yet. I like giving someone a gift that they really want or that they can use, not just any thing for the sake of giving a gift.

What do you love most about your dad?
The fact that I can talk to him about anything. And that he accepts and loves me unconditionally.

You got engaged this month to actor Altus Theart. They say a girl looks for a man that's a bit like her father...was it anything like that for you?
Yes and no.
Yes, for the fact that they're both actors and Taurus star sign. They both have very strong personalities.
No, because Altus is out-going and social, and my dad is more of a home-body.

You are an extremely beautifull Brunette! Do you think Blondes have more fun?
(Laughs) Maybe I should dye my hair blonde and find out!

If you could be anybody else, who would you be and why?
I don't want to be anybody else. But if I could be someone else for a day, I'd like to be Vanessa Paradis - just so that I could spend a day with Johnny Depp!! ;-)
