Loftus Park will boast 55 000 m2 of mixed-use property dedicated to office, retail, and hospitality spaces. Developers, Abland (of Sandton Gate fame) have completed the first phase of the precinct under record time.
This phase includes anchor stores Checkers, Dis-Chem, and PNA, as well as a flagship Virgin Active health club. Restaurants and cafes Casa Bella, Turn & Tender, Salsa, Rocomamas, Vovo Telo and Seattle Coffee Co have also opened to the public. This phase has seen the installation of Nedbank, Capitec, FNB and Absa ATMs as well as a Postnet and dry cleaner.
Still to come is a 152 room Protea Hotel by Marriott. Not much is being revealed about phase two but according to sources, phase three will see the addition of a fully-fledged hospital added to the mix, making this precinct a self-sustaining eco system shy of a school and a church (said with tongue in cheek).
The P-Grade office space itself will make up 15 780 m2 of preimum rental rates for the area along with top quality finishes, state of the art systems, exceptional accessibility and a create definite market presence.
Commuters will be pleased as Loftus Park is easily accessible by most forms of public transport, including Gautrain buses that stop, linking the precinct to other major hubs in Pretoria and Johannesburg.
Being adjacent the iconic (yes, we dare use that word) Loftus Versveld allows an interesting and welcoming influx of sports fanatics and visitors to the stadium. There have been talks of revamping the face of Loftus Versveld to fit in with the open-air flow of the precinct but we could not confirm at the time of writing.
