What Is It?
The Haunted Forest® is a two-day Halloween festival that you certainly don’t want to miss. It’s more than just a Haunted Forest walk. In addition to the 3km Haunted Forest walk filled with 10 larger-than-life scenes, spooky actors and creepily cool activities, they’ve added a brand-new feature to scare your socks off – a haunted house called The Asylum. You can also expect a large LED screen showcasing three films per day, curated by The Bioscope Independent Cinema, an accessory and food village, a large picnic area as well as a Make-up Lounge to touch up your ghoulish costume.
A Little About The Haunted Forest
The Haunted Forest®, with Beacon, now in its fourth year, is taking a wicked leap into the world of horror and fright with the launch of a haunted house, called The Asylum, forming part of the Forest Walk at Riversands Farm Village.
As always, they will have a full team of professional make-up artists in the Make-Up Lounge to bring your imagination to reality from full SFX make-up to simple scars by Black & Lime SFX make-up.
Stop by the curated food village and tantalize your senses with the aromas and flavours of a variety of foods from barbecued organic meats to fresh vegan offerings. A big screen, picnic area, dam and a view of the Haunted Forest®, as the mist raises above the trees, creates an eerie greeting to the evening’s creepy activities. Guests enter the forest with eerie sounds of shouts and screams along a haunted walk where anything could happen. Will you be locked in a cage or forced to walk the plank? Who knows! It’s all part of the fun.
The Haunted Forest® will take place over two days – Saturday will be the most extreme, with an interactive and immersive scare factor experience in the forest and Sunday will feature a family-friendly Trick & Treat sponsored by Beacon Chocolates. They’ll also have a Trick & Treat for the big kids and an extra Beacon surprise in the forest!
The Haunted House, The Asylum, will be open on both Saturday and Sunday for those who would like their souls scared into oblivion.
