Pretoria’s CBD welcomes Intercare’s newest Medical and Dental Centre. As Intercare continuously delivers on its promise to make quality healthcare accessible to more South Africans, the iconic Tramshed Shopping Centre in Pretoria Central is its latest address.

Home of commerce, government and landmark department buildings, Pretoria Central bustles with time-starved residents, families, business people and students – all of whom now have easier access to doctors and dentists in one facility, saving time, money and effort.

Intercare Tramshed Medical and Dental Centre offers its clients a broad spectrum of services. General practitioners offer routine medical examinations and emergency care to the whole family, as well as minor surgery, vaccinations, lung function screenings, ECG’s and wellness screenings. In addition to conventional family dentistry, a range of specialist dental services such as braces, bridges, crowns, dentures, implants, oral hygiene and teeth whitening are also offered. Ancillary healthcare services, which are available at Intercare Tramshed, include X-rays and pathology.

As with all its facilities, Intercare makes healthcare more accessible not just by location, but also with extended opening hours. From 5 August, Intercare Tramshed Medical and Dental Centre will be open between 08:00 and 18:00 weekdays, 09:00 and 14:00 on Saturdays. The dental centre is closed on Sundays and public holidays.

For even greater convenience, online appointment bookings are available from 5 August at www.intercare.co.za/bookings.

According to Intercare co-founder and Chief Executive, Dr Hendrik Hanekom, ease of accessibility is crucial to a healthcare model that is focussed on preventative healthcare and aims to keep people healthy and ultimately out of hospitals.

Hanekom says, ‘Wellness screenings play a large role in preventative healthcare. Our behaviour and lifestyle choices influence our health far more than many of us are willing to acknowledge, and as a healthcare brand we are extremely aware that everything we do today can help build the foundation for a healthy population in the future’.

Intercare Tramshed Medical and Dental Centre is a contemporary, yet family-friendly space, where patients can walk into one facility and receive multidisciplinary, team-based care. Boasting state of the art technology and equipment, the centre itself is designed to feel inviting, uplifting and to make even the most nervous of patients feel comfortable.
