Papa’s Real Food Review

August 22, 2017

Papa’s has been part of the local restaurant scene for ten years now and this dynamic restaurant never stays the same for very long. Its funky artistic flair sets it apart as a hip and happening place where you want to be seen. The most recent revamp now gives it an even more classic feel, with the usual Papa’s earthy vibe underlying the elegance. Also, no more worries for the upcoming rainy season, the outside area is now covered with a canvas tent. This patio area is still by far the most popular, and lunch time can be quite a tight squeeze! The menu ranges from light meals, such as a Chicken & Cashew Nut Stir Fry to more serious food, such as the Rib Eye steak – from informal to top-class exclusive. Other delectable delights include gourmet sandwiches, potjies and platters such as the 3 Cheeses Cheese board. Treat yourself to a pizza, served from Wednesday to Sunday, or a pasta. The venue can be hired out for private functions, it’s a popular spot for a unique wedding reception. Part of the new revamp, is the remodelled covered deck area – perfect for an exclusive party. An outing to Papa’s in the day time, will not be complete without a quick browse through the boutique shops in Duncan Yard. This is definitely an important artistic hub in our city. If you’ve never visited it, you’re missing out big time – so book a table at Papa’s and spoil yourself rotten.
