To those who attended the last RAMfest in 2014, no intro is needed. For newbies (who can be forgiven for not attending over the last few years, since there hasn’t been a show staged!), RAMfest is best described as a festival of indie and electronic rock. Local acts populate the lineup, but this year the USA’s Attila is also headlining on the main stage!
Put together by the same outfit that brought you last year’s Pretoria Halloween Party, you know this is going to be a goodie. The one-day event is best treated as a Loftus camp-out for the day. Happening at Loftus Versfeld D Field, face-melting music alongside great treats and eats will make everyone’s day.
Double The Fun
From light rock enthusiasts through to die-hard metalheads, there’s something for every rocker in the lineup. Local acts like Straatligkinders, ATFN, OneDaySky, Vulvodynia and CrashCarBurn will rock the main of two stages. Facing the Gallows is another act with a growing following that’s sure to delight, coming on just before Attila take the stage.
Especially after last year’s Halloween Party, the organisers have confirmed just how popular a rock festival can roll in Pretoria! The venue will be secure and a safe environment for all. Unlike the sometimes eina prices fans encounter, tickets are reasonably priced and food and drinks on the day are set to be affordable too.
The second stage will host acts like GUMZ, Kid Robot, Zee Essential, HAEZER, PH Fat, TIMO ODV and Swade Shift Showcase. Toggling between the two stages while topping up your tummy along the way is always the best approach.
RAMFest 2019 will be happening on the 16th of June 2019. The initial “Trust Us” tickets have been sold out at R150, but “Early Lamb” tickets are available now, and if these sell out, you’ll pay R300 at the door. Gates will open at 3pm on the day and the music will start at 5pm.
